The Tiffen 77mm Black Pro-Mist 1/8 Filter is a filter built to help you shoot wide open in bright light — supplied as genuine Australian stock with local warranty. The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist Grade 1/4 MCS Filter is a versatile tool that adds warmth, depth, and a soft, painterly halation effect to your images.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Shoot wide open in bright light — with its unique contrast blend, even at its lowest density, it enhances halation while maintaining skin tone values.
  • Cut reflections and glare — this effect becomes more pronounced at higher densities, perfect for smoothing facial wrinkles and other blemishes.
  • Get a consistent look — while originally intended for cinematic use, this filter also enhances the results of fashion and beauty shoots.
  • Protect your lens — unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, the Pro-Mist series preserves detail throughout the image.
